Management ? Separation Programs for Low Performers
In this session, Professor Jun-ki Han, who has extensive HR
experience with multinational companies, explains how separation programs for
low-performing employees are managed.
Multinational companies often use structured separation
programs to encourage low performers to leave the organization. In particular,
a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) is intended to help employees improve
their performance, but in practice, it is sometimes used as a procedural tool
to encourage voluntary resignation.
This video discussion also examines how PIPs are
implemented in practice, as well as the criteria commonly used to determine and
structure severance or separation packages for departing employees.
